The six panels that answer the questions a founder actually asks, and the four habits that make a dashboard worth opening.
Most companies do not lack financial data. They lack one screen that answers four questions: what we have, how long it lasts, who owes us, and what is already committed. Below is the minimum a dashboard needs to answer them, in the order a growing business usually needs it.
How much do we actually have, right now?
Closing balance per bank account, consolidated, updated at least weekly. The single number a founder should never have to ask for.
Cash on hand · Net movement this month
How long does that cash last?
Cash divided by average net monthly burn over the last three months. Three months smooths out one unusual payment; a single month misleads.
Months of runway · Average monthly burn
Are we selling more, and is it worth selling?
Revenue by month with cost of sales alongside it. Revenue alone hides the case where growth is arriving at a margin that cannot fund the business.
Monthly revenue · Gross margin % · Trend vs last quarter
Who owes us, and for how long?
Outstanding invoices bucketed 0-30, 31-60, 61-90 and 90+ days. For most growing companies in Indonesia this is where the missing cash is sitting.
Total AR · % over 60 days · Largest three debtors
What is already spoken for?
Supplier balances plus the recurring commitments that do not appear as invoices yet: payroll, BPJS, rent, tax payments due on the 15th.
Total AP · Committed outflow next 30 days
Are we current with the tax office?
A simple green or red per obligation for the current period. It belongs on the finance dashboard because a missed filing is a cash event, not an admin one.
Filings current · Next deadline
A profitable month with 90-day receivables can still miss payroll. Both belong on the same screen.
If a figure cannot be tied back to the accounting records in one step, it will be argued about instead of acted on.
A dashboard that takes two days to assemble is produced late, or eventually not at all. Pull from the accounting system, do not retype.
Every panel should change something. If nobody would act differently based on a number, it is decoration.
We set the panels up against your actual bookkeeping so the numbers refresh instead of being retyped, and walk your team through reading them. Tell us what you run on and we will send the starter kit set up for it.
